Mixing And Matching ColorsThe Basic universal colors are black, white, gray, ivory, navy, camel and blue denim.
Another way of using colors is by wearing monochromatically. Monochrome means wearing a single color from head to toe. It could be any color from darkest to lightest. Color is the first thing people notice on your outfit. If you’re dressing monochromatically then you have a very effective slimming tool by producing a strong unbroken vertical line that elongates the body. When wearing monochrome add a little twist on it. Add texture and patterns. In this way the texture will give the outfit interesting dimension and relief from sameness. You can try mixing subtle dark colors such as mink brown and charcoal gray, wine and raisin as long as the color is close to each other. This slight variation adds a little touch but take note that this only works best with dark color. Dark colors absorb light they can blend seamlessly together. Another twist is adding colors on the inside like tops, scarves and jewelry. If you are wearing a one solid color suit you can wear a bright color top inside or a colorful scarf. This will not affect benefits of monochrome. Another way of adding colors is using a v neck sweater where you can put white or other color inside without disturbing your monochrome outside. Try doing the opposite. Instead of wearing different color inside you can try wearing a monochrome pants and inner top and put a lighter blazer. This idea sometimes doesn’t work but there’s no harm in trying. If it doesn’t work you can also go back to rule. Whatever twist you make. Just remember to keep one color dominant to look your slimmest. Bonus Points about Black
